South Carlsbad

“Its ALWAYS wet… please help” (oh, and make it beautiful and usable and inviting)

Project briefs are sometimes confusing - This South Carlsbad (ok let’s call it North La Costa) sits at a low - maybe 30’ above sea leave - elevation. The home also sits below its two neighbors and gets a bunch of water run-off. So yeah, it’s always wet, all the time.

We decided to use the elevation change to our advantage and raised the pool, allowing a bit more sunlight to hit it, and to create interest. A seating area, outdoor kitchen and synthetic grass zone for kids/dogs completes the scene.

These clients were so patient with us and allowed to use some really fun materials.
