RYAN PRANGE
Founder / Managing Director
Ryan Prange founded Falling Waters Landscape in 2007 as a small water-feature and design company. It has since grown into a well-respected landscape design + build firm. From our Encinitas office, Ryan oversees all operations. He is an Encinitas, CA native, and has designed hundreds of gardens all over Southern California and abroad.
Ryan holds a degree in Landscape Architecture, is an avid traveler, gardener and loves to cook for his family and friends. He lives with his family in Escondido, CA.
Garrett Prange
Principal Designer
Garrett Prange has been working in the Landscape Industry for most of his life, beginning with his father's maintenance business. After several years of full time work, and an urge to grow his career in the Landscape field in a more creative way, Garrett went back to school to earn his Degree in Landscape Architecture while simultaneously beginning work full time with FWL. In addition to a degree, he is a Certified Arborist and is a Principal Designer within the Company. "Designing landscapes means a marriage between the scientific and holistic." Garrett strives to approach each new project with this philosophy.
Kristi Lin
Principal Landscape Architect
Kristi Lin has a passion for art and design. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of California Davis where she studied sustainable design and ecology. Upon graduation, Kristi was nominated and selected as a National Olmsted Scholar Finalist, an honor given by the Landscape Architecture Foundation to the top four students in the Nation. Kristi is a mixed-media artist and approaches landscape design as creating a beautiful and functional work of art. Kristi is a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of California: LA-6729.
Benjamin Nares
Project Manager
Benjamin Nares has over 23 years of experience in the Construction industry. Ben is integral to the operations and has helped FWL accomplish numerous projects. As lead Project Manager, he plays a vital role in completing all projects. He has a deep love for the Ocean and is an avid surfer and Home Gardener. He lives with his wife and children in Carlsbad
Trevor Glynn
Assistant PM
Trevor Glynn is a native San Diegan born and raised in Ocean Beach. His parents instilled in him from an early age a love of nature and the beauty of the area we live in. He loves seeing the creation of an outdoor living space from abstract lines on a computer to a living, breathing part of someone's life. He is a skilled musician and dedicated Sports fan.
mizuho gonzalez
Design Associate
Mizuho was born in Mexico and raised in Chile, she moved to the US and obtained her BA in Design from California State University Long Beach, and an Associate degree in Sustainable Landscape Design. Mizuho's passion for the field began with her roots, she always admired the value of simplicity and preservation of the environment using local resources and materials. Her goal as a designer is to promote sustainability by creating spaces that bring communities together without causing harm to the environment.
Christopher Huang
Designer
Christopher Huang is passionate about art, nature, and architecture influenced by his grandpa. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of California Davis with the interest in green infrastructure and resilience. Moving to the US from Taiwan, he has been enthusiastic with water resource and better utilization of it.
Simultaneously, he integrates environmental design approaches from both cultures to form his own perspective and aims for creating more transparent, impactful, and educational spaces for the communities.
Christopher enjoys working by hands and thinking engineeringly with furniture design, woodworking, and model making. He loves traveling and camping with his family and friends.
MADISON WERNLI
Production Assistant
Madison Wernli was born and raised in San Diego, California. She has worked throughout the horticultural industry, cultivating her love for the art and science of growing plants. She holds a BS in Plant Sciences from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is working towards a degree in Landscape Architecture. Her motivation for pursuing this field grew from a deep appreciation for nature and a desire to build functional landscapes that help connect others to it. She is excited to be part of the Falling Waters team!
Lori mccabe
Design Consultant
Lori McCabe has a lifelong interest in culture and design. She believes that thoughtful design creates a pleasing atmosphere that contributes to quality enjoyable time with family, friends and loved ones. This mindset along with her extensive world travels have been the inspiration in her design.
After completing Interior Design education, and subsequent internship specializing in restaurant and hospitality, her continued passion led to the launch of her own design business. With over 10 years experience, she brings creativity, attention to detail and collaboration enabling her to successfully guide each project from conception to completion. She enjoys incorporating hands-on creativity into her design aesthetic such as designing and building furniture, making pottery, hand-dying/block-printing textiles.
Lori was born and raised in NYC, married a native San Diegan, lives and started a family in Ocean Beach. She loves travel, cooking and eating with friends and family, playing soccer and volunteering in the community.

Office Manager
Stacy Prange is an Encinitas, CA native. Growing up, nature and landscape played a large role in her life, so she enjoys being a part of a company where that is the focus. She is the smiling face there to welcome you when you visit us, and the voice ready to help when you call us.
She enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family. She resides in her hometown of Encinitas
