Founded in 2007 by Ryan Prange, FWL operates out of a small studio office in Encinitas. Ryan continues to lead the Design and Operations of Falling Waters Landscape alongside his brother Garrett Prange. What began as a small water-feature and design company has since grown into a well-respected, sometimes awarded, Landscape Architecture and Construction firm.
Ryan is a California native and has designed hundreds of landscapes all over Southern California and abroad. Travel and a love of gardening and cooking cultivated a design style that Ryan refers to as “warm and inviting”. He is driven and motivated by creating and inducing gratification and happiness through experiences. His medium - Plants, food, Art & Architecture
His love of natural landscapes began to develop from his earliest memories of assisting his Father in maintaining the landscape of the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. He witnessed his father put his heart and soul into transforming his surroundings into something beautiful. He found enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment working alongside him. His experience grew over the years, eventually leading him to start his own landscape business. This passion runs strong in the Prange family. Ryan’s partner - & brother - Garrett, is a Licensed Landscape Contractor, Certified Arborist and is the Principal Designer within the Company.

STACY PRANGE
Stacy Prange, a native of Encinitas, CA, developed a deep appreciation for landscape from an early age, inspired by her father's influence. Beyond her professional interests, her greatest passion lies in her family, and she cherishes opportunities to travel with them as often as possible.
MADISON WERNLI
Madison Wernli, a San Diego native, brings a deep-rooted passion for plants to her work in landscape design. With a B.S. in Plant Sciences from Cal Poly SLO and an A.A. in Landscape Architecture, she focuses on creating functional, nature-connected spaces that inspire and endure.
CHRIS HUANG
Chris joined Falling Waters in 2022 after earning his B.S. in Landscape Architecture from UC Davis. With a background in architecture and a focus on design development, he brings thoughtful precision and cross-disciplinary insight to every project.
MIZUHO GONZALES
Mizuho Gonzalez is a designer with roots in Mexico and Chile, whose work is shaped by a love for materials, culture, and place. With degrees in Design and Sustainable Landscape Design, she creates grounded, harmonious spaces that connect people to nature and reflect their surroundings.
LORI MCCABE
Lori brings over a decade of interior design experience shaped by her global travels and love for handmade details. She believes thoughtful design should feel as good as it looks—creating spaces where people want to gather, connect, and live fully. Now based in Ocean Beach, she blends creativity, collaboration, and a hands-on approach into every project.
TREVOR GLYNN
Trevor Glynn has spent the last 15 years bringing thoughtful craftsmanship to Falling Waters projects, blending artistic detail with durable construction. A beach lover at heart, he finds balance outdoors and treasures time with his wife and two daughters.
CONNOR BASS
Connor Bass blends environmental science with landscape design to create outdoor spaces that connect people to nature. Originally from Minneapolis, he brings an ecosystem-based approach rooted in his background guiding wilderness expeditions and his studies in landscape architecture and permaculture.
