A beautifully appointed custom home in Laguna Beach’s Emerald Bay neighborhood. Mixed elements and striking plants compliment this multi-level home with white-water views.FWL designed the spaces over the course of a couple of years while these amazing clients executed the project with their own team. The results are a stunning palette of materials and plants on a rather tricky site.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Biggest Challenge to Overcome: Significant elevation changes and a project that was evolving.
Core Design Solution: Created distinct yet connected zones/levels for relaxing around the firepit, entertaining, and the house entry. We used mixed materials and different plants unique to each area
Materials and Plant Palette Highlights: Boardform concrete, wispy grasses, hardy perrenials, Eco-Outdoor pavers
Custom Features: Treehouse (we can’t take credit!) designed and built by the owner. A sauna, cold plunge, sunken spa, fireplace
