Fulvia (Pool and ADU)

“Brad and Tara meet Ryan. Ryan owns Falling Waters Landscape. I would love to get him out to your new house to get some ideas. I’m happy to meet him there anytime seeing you are out of town. Let me know.” -Brett Combs (Compass Group)

On a corner lot in Leucadia was a large plot that was subdivided into several homes. On the corner of THAT lot was where we met our clients for the first time - Introduced by legendary Realtor and our friend Brett Combs. Relocating back to Encinitas, this young family had ambitious goals for the space. When told that we hadn’t really done an ADU yet, they gave the perfect response: “Cool, we’ll be your first!” I mean…. c’mon… When new clients have that much faith, it becomes the imperative of the whole team to never disappoint.

We started in the front. A soldier fence was the first item that went up and received countless raised eyebrows from the neighborhood. We added a trampoline, grass and entry wall. Once that was finished we tackled the back. The guesthouse was designed by FWL, but really it took a village. A challenge we humbly, but eagerly attacked.

Over the course of about a year, we transform the dirt lot into an entertainers paradise.

A big thank you to all the minds (and backs) that went into getting this project completed. Bruno, you are the man. Can’t wait to do another one with you. We were able to fit an incredible amount of usable space into a funny shaped lot. Apologies to the neighbors for the length of construction. Some of you were nice, some of you not so much :) Brad and Tara, your patience and partnership were fundamental. Cheers and thank you for your trust.
