PROJECT UPDATES | Pool-ception

Less than two months later and we are finishing up the final touches at our Del Mar project. With the pool’s structure intact we were able to move on to the rest of the hardscape. Concrete was the major material we used for each element of this design. With clients who wanted all the usable space they can get, we wanted to grant their wish, but simultaneously steer away from a sea of concrete. Luckily for us, greenery is the best tool to offset a grey palette; however, we also introduced a wood platform and a deep blue pool to balance the amount of concrete that was going in. In a couple of months, the plants will take to their new environment by filling in space and the yard will feel a little more “lived in.” We can’t wait to see!

This project took us about 5 months from when we signed on for construction to now. Check back in a couple of months and we should have our professional shots taken and uploaded on our website. We will include an excerpt from the Lead Designer on the job about the challenges of the project and the aspects he is most proud of.
