Via Pisa

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

An updated and creative solution to a challenging site. FWL designed and built a small cocktail pool, patio and new driveway and approach. Natural grasses and perennials compliment the spaces.

Neighboring the lagoon in Del Mar, this landscape design draws inspiration from driftwood and reeds. We used wood as a sculptural element to create thresholds between different spaces. Wood members grow taller and then shorter as you walk through the angled front gate threshold. Then in the backyard, wood posts of all different shapes and sizes arc around the pool and meander through the yard like a wave coming into shore.

Project highlights:

Native plantings, a wood trellis with retractable shades, seashells thrown into the concrete mix, and a lovely little blue gem of a pool.
